Saudi Arabia Celebrates Hajj 1447 Success and Prepares for 1448

MAKKAH — In a recent meeting, the Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, acknowledged the effective implementation of the Hajj 1447 security and operational strategies, crediting the outcome to coordinated national efforts and the Kingdom's enduring commitment to supporting pilgrims globally.

During a significant assembly at the Ministry of Interior's headquarters in Makkah, Prince Abdulaziz extended greetings and congratulations from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to those from the ministries of Interior, National Guard, and Defense, along with the Presidency of State Security and the General Intelligence Presidency.

This meeting, held in celebration of Eid Al-Adha, recognized the successful orchestration of Hajj security operations, which facilitated the safety and smooth transit of millions of pilgrims across the holy sites.

The Prince highlighted that the comprehensive security and organizational strategies had successfully met their goals across a range of operational metrics, backed by Saudi Arabia's deployment of human resources, cutting-edge infrastructure, and modern technologies. He emphasized that serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors remains a top national priority, with a legacy spanning over three centuries.

Furthermore, he stressed that the ongoing enhancement of Hajj services underscores Saudi Arabia's dedication to improving the pilgrimage experience alongside the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. He pointed out the considerable advancements made during this year's season, which enabled effective crowd management, bolstered safety initiatives, and improved services for worshippers.

The Minister also applauded the professionalism and commitment shown by both military and civilian personnel during the pilgrimage season. He noted the high level of collaboration among government agencies, calling it a crucial aspect of delivering security, health, transportation, and logistical services successfully.

He conveyed gratitude to the pilgrims and official Hajj missions worldwide for their cooperation and adherence to regulatory guidelines, which contributed to a safe and organized pilgrimage experience.

Looking forward, the Minister directed all relevant agencies to commence preparations for the 1448 AH Hajj season, emphasizing the Kingdom's strategy of proactive planning and ongoing improvement to achieve even greater operational readiness in the future.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Mohammed Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, provided a thorough overview of the security operation. He emphasized the importance of unified planning among agencies and the effectiveness of the Hajj Security Operations Center in overseeing developments and coordinating responses throughout the season.

Al-Bassami acknowledged that the cohesive security framework played a vital role in upholding safety, managing crowds, and providing a peaceful atmosphere for worshippers throughout their pilgrimage rituals.

The meeting reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing Hajj services through strategic plans, advanced technology, and inter-agency collaboration, affirming the Kingdom's goal of ensuring a secure and seamless pilgrimage experience for millions of Muslims each year.
