UAE Joins Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Gaza Peace Talks

On behalf of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, represented the UAE at the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit. The event took place in Egypt’s Sharm El-Sheikh and was co-chaired by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt and President Donald Trump of the United States of America.

Aim of the Peace Summit

The main goal of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit was to strengthen international efforts to reach and maintain a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The summit provided an opportunity for global leaders to discuss humanitarian solutions, reduce violence, and support long-term peace and stability in the region. Leaders and representatives from different countries shared their views on how to stop the conflict and provide aid to affected civilians.

Leaders and Delegations Present

The summit brought together a wide range of participants, including heads of state, prime ministers, ministers, and official delegations from around the world. Representatives from several regional and international organizations also attended, showing a shared desire to find peaceful solutions to the crisis. The presence of high-level officials highlighted the importance of the summit in coordinating international support for peace in Gaza.

UAE Delegation at the Summit

The UAE delegation included several senior leaders and ministers. Among them were H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor; Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Mohammed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; and Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt. A number of other senior UAE officials also attended, reflecting the country’s strong commitment to peace and regional cooperation.

Sheikh Mansour’s Arrival and Reception

When Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed arrived at the summit venue, he was warmly received by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Official photographs were taken of Sheikh Mansour with the Egyptian President to mark the occasion. Sheikh Mansour also exchanged greetings with U.S. President Donald Trump upon his arrival at the venue. These meetings reflected the friendly and cooperative relations between the UAE, Egypt, and the United States.

UAE’s Role in Supporting Peace Efforts

The UAE has consistently played an active role in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East. By participating in the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit, the UAE reaffirmed its support for diplomatic solutions and humanitarian initiatives in Gaza. The country has long supported efforts to bring together regional and international partners to help reduce tensions and protect civilians.

A Step Toward Ending the Conflict

During the summit, leaders discussed practical ways to end the ongoing conflict in Gaza and ensure the protection of innocent lives. They also talked about the importance of rebuilding communities and restoring essential services in war-affected areas. The UAE’s participation in such high-level discussions highlights its belief that dialogue and cooperation are the best ways to achieve peace and stability.

UAE’s Message of Solidarity

Through Sheikh Mansour’s attendance, the UAE sent a strong message of solidarity with the people of Gaza and a firm commitment to regional peace. The country’s leadership emphasized that long-lasting peace can only be achieved through understanding, dialogue, and mutual respect among nations. The UAE continues to support international peace talks, humanitarian aid, and reconstruction projects in the region.

The Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit also provided an opportunity for the UAE to strengthen its ties with Egypt, the United States, and other participating countries. Cooperation on peace and humanitarian efforts remains one of the UAE’s top foreign policy priorities. By working with global partners, the UAE aims to help create a more stable and secure future for the region and beyond.
