The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) hosted the second Joint Steering Committee Meeting of the UAE–India Cultural Council in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was co-chaired by Noura Al Kaabi, UAE Minister of State, and K. Nandini Singla, Director-General of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. Senior officials from both nations also attended to participate in discussions aimed at strengthening cultural cooperation.
Focus on Key Strategic Areas
During the session, discussions centered on enhancing bilateral partnerships in tourism, education, and sports. Both sides emphasized the importance of cultural exchange as a framework to deepen mutual understanding and foster people-to-people connections, particularly among the youth.
Exploring New Collaborative Opportunities
The UAE and India explored additional areas of collaboration, including sharing best practices in cultural heritage tourism, higher education, professional development, and the hospitality and creative sectors. The discussions highlighted the importance of nurturing innovation and creativity while promoting sustainable cultural engagement.

Noura Al Kaabi praised the strength of the strategic relationship between the UAE and India, emphasizing the deep-rooted cultural, social, and historical ties that form the foundation for broad cooperation. She highlighted the launch of new educational initiatives aimed at empowering youth, fostering innovation, and promoting creative industries.

Al Kaabi noted, “Culture is a living bridge between nations. The UAE–India Cultural Council enables dialogue, collaboration, and shared prosperity, strengthening the human dimension of our partnership and building lasting connections beyond borders.” She reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to using culture as a means to foster public diplomacy and people-to-people understanding.
India’s Perspective on Cultural Collaboration
K. Nandini Singla stated, “Culture is the soul of our nations. Strengthening cultural ties reinforces friendship and trust between our peoples. The India–UAE Cultural Council reflects our shared history and civilizational bonds and aims to shape a shared future.” She highlighted the Council’s role in translating the vision of both nations’ leadership into tangible cultural initiatives.
Official Signing and Future Plans
The meeting concluded with the official signing of the minutes of the first Joint Steering Committee meeting. This step marked a pivotal advancement in UAE–India cultural collaboration, underlining both nations’ commitment to sustaining meaningful exchange and fostering creative partnerships across public and private sectors.
