The meeting took place at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, where both sides exchanged views on strengthening ties in the maritime and logistics sectors.

During the discussions, Sheikh Mansour and Rodolphe Saadé explored ways to deepen collaboration between the United Arab Emirates and France in areas such as maritime shipping, logistics services, and global supply chains. They highlighted the importance of innovation and smart technology adoption to improve efficiency and sustainability across these sectors.

Both leaders emphasized that the future of global logistics lies in sustainable and technologically advanced operations. They discussed implementing environmentally friendly practices and solutions that reduce emissions, optimize fuel consumption, and improve energy efficiency in shipping and port management. Sheikh Mansour noted that the UAE’s green transition strategy aligns closely with these goals.

The meeting also focused on the importance of developing modern port infrastructure capable of supporting the growing global trade volume. Both sides discussed how expanding capacity and modernizing logistics facilities can enhance international transport networks. This includes integrating digital platforms, automated systems, and smart monitoring technologies to improve operations at UAE ports.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour reaffirmed that such partnerships contribute to the UAE’s broader strategy for economic diversification. He explained that enhancing the maritime and logistics sectors supports the national vision for sustainable development and global competitiveness. By working with international leaders like CMA CGM, the UAE continues to strengthen its role as a global trade and logistics hub.

The discussions underscored the growing economic cooperation between the UAE and France, which spans multiple sectors including energy, transport, and digital innovation. Both nations share a commitment to advancing climate-resilient infrastructure and future-ready industries.

Sheikh Mansour reiterated the UAE’s dedication to attracting international investment in shipping, maritime transport, and logistics infrastructure. He noted that global companies view the UAE as a trusted partner and gateway to the wider Middle East, Africa, and Asia markets. The country’s strategic location and robust trade policies have positioned it as one of the top choices for investors in transport and logistics.

Rodolphe Saadé expressed appreciation for the UAE’s efforts to build a sustainable logistics ecosystem. He highlighted CMA CGM’s commitment to innovation and reducing carbon emissions in global shipping operations. The company aims to play an active role in developing collaborative projects with UAE partners, including the AD Ports Group, to expand trade and supply chain efficiency.
