Morning Fog Mist Likely Across UAE Till Wednesday

Post by : Shakul

ABU DHABI, February 21, 2026 — The National Centre of Meteorology has issued a weather forecast indicating humid atmospheric conditions across many parts of the United Arab Emirates, raising the likelihood of fog and mist formation from Saturday through Wednesday. These conditions are expected to be more noticeable during the early morning hours, particularly in coastal areas and internal regions.

The forecast states that overall weather conditions will remain fair to partly cloudy throughout this period. A slight decrease in temperatures is expected on Sunday, offering brief relief from humidity, while temperatures are forecast to rise again by Tuesday, resulting in warmer daytime conditions.

Winds across the country are expected to be light to moderate, blowing mainly from the northwest to southwest. At times, wind activity may intensify, with speeds reaching up to 35 kilometres per hour, especially in open and exposed areas. These winds could contribute to shifting weather conditions in certain regions.

Marine conditions are expected to remain generally calm. Sea states will be mostly slight in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea, though moderate conditions may occur occasionally on Sunday and Wednesday.

Authorities have strongly advised motorists to remain cautious during early morning travel, as fog and mist may significantly reduce visibility on highways and internal roads. Drivers are urged to follow traffic safety guidelines, reduce speed, and maintain safe distances to avoid accidents during low-visibility conditions.
