Qatar's Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of 25 individuals of Arab nationalities following a public altercation at a restaurant in Doha's Dafna area.

The ministry said the incident, which gained attention after videos circulated on social media, involved behavior that endangered the safety of people and property and disrupted public security and order.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said the arrests were made in connection with footage showing a fight involving several individuals. The videos began spreading online before authorities confirmed the arrests.

Clips shared on social media showed people shouting and throwing chairs during the disturbance. Some individuals seen in the footage appeared to be wearing football shirts. However, authorities did not confirm whether the incident was connected to any sporting event or football match.

The Ministry of Interior did not disclose the specific Arab nationalities of the people involved.

According to the ministry, all 25 suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal proceedings.

The ministry also urged residents and visitors to comply with the country's laws and regulations. It stressed that authorities would not tolerate actions that violate the law and warned that strict legal measures would be taken against anyone whose conduct threatens the safety and security of society.
