The Abu Dhabi Center for Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management (ADCMC) has officially launched a Coordination and Monitoring Centre in Al Dhafra to bolster emergency preparedness and response capabilities.
Al Dhafra stands as one of the largest and economically vital regions in Abu Dhabi. This newly established centre aims to facilitate quicker and more coordinated responses to emergencies by enhancing ADCMC's local presence in the area.
This initiative is part of ADCMC's broader vision to elevate crisis readiness across the emirate, while considering the distinct environmental and geographical features of each region.
His Excellency Dr Abdulla Hamarain Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of the Response and Recovery Sector at ADCMC, emphasized that this activation is a crucial strategic advancement. He noted that Al Dhafra's vastness and economic significance necessitate a tailored approach to emergency preparedness and coordination.
Dr Al Dhaheri further explained that this initiative represents a transition from a purely centralized emergency management system to one that distributes capabilities closer to potential incident sites. Such a structure promotes rapid decision-making and more effective responses on the ground.
The activation aligns with ADCMC's mission to create a cohesive and adaptable crisis management framework, while also strengthening partnerships with stakeholders and enhancing Abu Dhabi’s resilience against potential disasters.
