Weekly Ceremony at Wahat Al Karama Launches in Abu Dhabi

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office has confirmed that a weekly ceremony will commence at Wahat Al Karama from April 4, 2026. Every Saturday at 5 PM, the event aims to foster national pride, loyalty, and belonging within the community.

Activities will include a flag salute, a military band performance, and a cavalry procession, all designed to celebrate the UAE’s cultural heritage while paying tribute to the nation’s heroes.

This initiative is in line with the UAE Year of Family, encouraging families and community members to engage with the memorial and partake in this significant national event. It seeks to bolster social unity and shared values within society.

Each component of the ceremony holds symbolic significance. The flag salute stands for sovereignty and unity, enhancing national pride. The military band reflects the formality of state occasions, while the cavalry procession showcases the UAE’s traditions and links the present with its historical customs.

Visitors will also be able to access the Visitors Centre, where they can discover inspiring narratives about national service and sacrifice.

Through this weekly ceremony, the authorities aim to establish Wahat Al Karama as a vital cultural and tourism hub in Abu Dhabi while nurturing a greater sense of national identity and promoting active community engagement.
