Ajman Chamber took part in the China Franchise Expo and the World Franchise Council Annual Meeting 2026, which occurred in Beijing, China, from May 27 to 31. This participation aims to enhance international economic collaboration and facilitate franchise business advancements.
Representing the chamber was Maher Tarish Al Alili, a Board Member and Vice President of the Emirates Association for Franchise Development (FAD). The event united representatives from 47 countries, bringing together government officials, industry leaders, investors, franchise firms, consultants, and specialized solution providers.
During his remarks, Al Alili emphasized that Ajman Chamber’s involvement underscores its desire to uncover new investment avenues, share knowledge, and bolster franchise sector development. He underscored ongoing initiatives aimed at positioning Ajman as an appealing hub for global franchise brands and businesses.
Al Alili pointed out that the franchise sector serves as a significant catalyst for business growth, knowledge exchange, and brand evolution. He noted that franchising fosters strategic partnerships and cross-border investments, promoting entrepreneurship, job creation, and sustainable economic advancement.
He further discussed the increasing influence of artificial intelligence in franchising, noting that the UAE's dedication to AI is opening new business opportunities. According to him, AI enhances operational productivity, supports informed decision-making, and boosts the competitiveness of franchise brands.
Ajman Chamber remains committed to championing the franchise sector as an efficient means of broadening business scope and generating substantial investment prospects. The chamber collaborates with the Emirates Association for Franchise Development along with various stakeholders to initiate programs that promote a franchise spirit and support entrepreneurs as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The China Franchise Expo and the World Franchise Council Annual Meeting featured numerous panel discussions, workshops, and networking events aimed at dissecting the future of franchising. Critical discussions revolved around topics such as international growth, digital innovation, artificial intelligence, supply chain evolution, brand development, customer experiences, operational efficiency, and adherence to franchise standards.
Delegates also investigated prospects in numerous sectors, such as food services, beauty, after-sales support, and marketing, all highlighting the rising significance of innovation and international collaboration within the franchise industry.
