Ajman Celebrates a 26.9% Increase in Building Completion Certificates for Q1 2026

Ajman Celebrates a 26.9% Increase in Building Completion Certificates for Q1 2026

Post by : Bianca Haleem

In the first quarter of 2026, the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department has successfully granted 778 building completion certificates, which is a 26.9% rise from the 613 issued during the same timeframe in 2025.

This surge underscores the ongoing development within Ajman's construction sector, aligning with the emirate's aspirations for holistic urban development outlined in Ajman Vision 2030.

Dr. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector, noted that this growth showcases Ajman as an attractive venue for both living and investment, bolstered by its advances in infrastructure and favorable regulations.

He emphasized that each completion certificate is issued only after meticulous checks confirm compliance with all building regulations, safety measures, and technical specifications. This verification process is coordinated with relevant authorities to uphold the quality and sustainability of new developments.

Engineer Ahmed Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director of the Buildings Department, mentioned that efforts to enhance systems and simplify processes are ongoing, leading to expedited services for clients. Several application channels have been established to accelerate approvals and uplift client satisfaction.

A completion certificate is awarded solely after a project's construction ends in adherence to approved designs and engineering benchmarks. He further recognized the significant contributions of contractors and consultancy agencies in ensuring quality standards are met.

According to the data, the eastern sector had the highest number of completed projects in Q1 2026, while central areas and the city center showcased numerous high-quality initiatives, pointing to Ajman’s balanced urban growth.
