Al Dhafra Job Fair Links Emiratis with Opportunities

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a significant Open Recruitment Day took place in the Al Dhafra Region, designed to link Emirati job seekers with career prospects.

This event was orchestrated by the Ruler’s Representative Court in collaboration with Mawaheb Talent Hub, part of the initiative “Connecting You With Opportunities.”

The recruitment event featured over 25 prominent employers from the government, semi-government, and private sectors. More than 600 job seekers attended at Majlis Madinat Zayed, where they were presented with over 250 specialized job openings.

Among the participating organizations were the Ministry of Education, Abu Dhabi Police, Department of Municipalities and Transport, and ADNOC, alongside others.

Officials noted that this initiative underscores the leadership’s dedication to ensure job opportunities are accessible to citizens in their own communities, effectively minimizing geographical barriers.

His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region, emphasized that the event boosts accessible employment opportunities that enhance national competitiveness. He remarked on the vital role Emirati talent plays in driving advancements across all sectors.

His Excellency Ibrahim Nassir, Undersecretary of the Department of Government Enablement (DGE), conveyed that the initiative aims to facilitate an AI-driven government by linking Emirati talent with job opportunities throughout the emirate. He acknowledged that providing jobs in regions like Al Dhafra aligns with Abu Dhabi’s longer-term digital transformation objectives.

This initiative promotes decentralized hiring to ensure that Emirati job seekers across Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra can find opportunities without the need to move.

Since its inception in 2023, Mawaheb Talent Hub has trained over 10,000 Emiratis and has facilitated more than 6,000 job opportunities by 2025 through partnerships with numerous sectors.

Officials indicated that the Open Recruitment Day is part of ongoing initiatives aimed at reinforcing local employment and equipping national talent for the evolving job market.
