As the Turkmenistan Premier League heats up, the excitement level surged with the thrilling results of the 11th round, featuring matches in Turkmenbashy, Ashgabat, and Balkanabat. Arkadag reinforced its dominance atop the standings with another impressive win, while Ashgabat showed remarkable resurgence and Nebitchi fought for a critical win in a gritty showdown.
During their match against Shagadam, Arkadag quickly asserted their prowess in Turkmen football, securing an early advantage via Rakhman Myratberdiyev just five minutes into the game. With Dayanch Meredov scoring just before halftime, the visitors were well in control. Although Shagadam responded late with a goal from Guwanch Valiyev, Arkadag maintained their command throughout the second half.
The reigning champions concluded the match with a decisive 4-1 scoreline that included two successful penalties by Guychmyrat Annagulyyev and Resul Hojayev. This victory underscores Arkadag's exceptional form, keeping their title aspirations firmly in sight with an unblemished league record.
Ashgabat delivered a standout display at Nisa Stadium, triumphantly overcoming Merv with a stunning 5-1 scoreline. The first half remained competitive until Merdan Mukhadov broke the stalemate just before halftime, leading to a second-half explosion of goals from Ashgabat.
Star forward Pirmyrat Sultanov shone brightly, netting a hat-trick within the span of 15 minutes, scoring in the 69th, 79th, and 84th minutes. Shatlyk Gurbanov added another, while Merv could only manage a late consolation.
The most fiercely contested fixture of the round was in Balkanabat, where Nebitchi faced off against Kopetdag, currently at the bottom of the table. Seyitmammet Hojamammedov’s solitary goal in the 17th minute was sufficient for a hard-fought win, although the match was marked by robust challenges, reflected in ten yellow cards from the referee.
With these results, Arkadag retains the top position with 33 points from 11 games. Ahal holds second place with 20 points, closely followed by Altyn Asyr with 19 points ahead of their pivotal match. The triumph lifted Nebitchi to fourth place, while Ashgabat inches closer to mid-table. Didar Durdyyev of Arkadag continues to lead the Golden Boot race with nine goals, solidifying his status as a standout forward in the league.
