The UAE’s Ataya initiative has delivered 31,000 Ramadan food packages to people in the Gaza Strip under Operation Gallant Knight 3, providing essential food items to families in need during the holy month.
This effort is part of the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian initiatives, carried out under the guidance of its leadership, to support the Palestinian people and improve their living conditions.
Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chair of the Ataya Higher Committee, said the aid reflects Ataya’s continued commitment to supporting Palestinians. She highlighted that the initiative aims to meet urgent needs and ensure families have access to basic necessities during Ramadan.
She also emphasized that the initiative strengthens food supply chains in Gaza, ensuring the availability of essential goods despite current challenges. Ataya remains focused on sustainable humanitarian projects that support affected communities and uphold human dignity.
Funds from the 13th Ataya Exhibition were allocated to assist Palestinians impacted by the crisis in Gaza. The initiative also contributed to healthcare support by sending ambulances to improve medical services in the region.
These efforts are part of the UAE’s wider humanitarian response through the Tarahum for Gaza campaign. The UAE continues to be one of the leading contributors of aid to Gaza, delivering assistance by land, sea, and air, and accounting for over 45 percent of total international support.
On February 19, 2026, during a Peace Council meeting in Washington, the UAE announced an additional $1.2 billion in aid to further support the Palestinian people and help ease their humanitarian challenges.
