The vibrant streets of Hanoi are alive with the flavors of Bac Ninh, as the seventh iteration of the "Vitality of Vietnamese Goods" program kicks off on Trang Tien Street. Dubbed the "Kinh Bac Market Fair," this event focuses on enhancing market links while promoting the region's rich cultural offerings.
Located at 62 Trang Tien Street, the fair proudly presents a variety of goods sourced straight from Bac Ninh Province. Visitors can savor fresh seasonal lychees, unique lychee derivatives, traditional Chu noodles, Nui Danh ginseng, golden flower tea, black garlic, and crunchy bamboo shoots, all of which are drawing crowds.
A major draw is the arrival of fresh U Hong and early-season Thieu lychees. These fruits, flown in directly from Bac Ninh orchards, quickly garnered attention on the first day, enticing many attendees to engage in discussions about the farming methods and quality certifications that endorse local produce.
The fair has been described by organizers as more than just a marketplace; it's a venue for local farmers, cooperatives, and businesses to connect with urban consumers. This initiative plays a vital role in reinforcing local supply chains and opening up new commercial pathways for smaller producers aiming to diversify their clientele.
This year, the event incorporates a unique blend of digital commerce alongside traditional retail. A special livestream shopping event scheduled for June 5 will be streamed via TikTok on the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development's channel. Featuring actress Anh Dao, the session aims to showcase Bac Ninh’s treasures to a broader online audience across Vietnam.
Event officials emphasize that marrying in-person displays with digital engagement marks a progressive step in product marketing within Vietnam. Livestreaming and online interaction empower local brands to reach larger audiences, all while safeguarding the authenticity and cultural significance of the region's offerings.
The Kinh Bac Market Fair will run until June 7, inviting both locals and tourists to explore the true essence of Bac Ninh's specialties. Organizers are optimistic that the event will not only enhance sales but also elevate the profile of Vietnamese agricultural goods, fostering sustained growth for local enterprises and cooperatives.
