The Ministry of Education in Bahrain celebrated the successful conclusion of the school sports season by honoring the organizing teams, sponsors, and partners who played a vital role in supporting school championships and sporting events throughout the academic year.
The closing ceremony was held at the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel and attended by Education Minister Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma. The event highlighted the achievements of students, teachers, organizers, and institutions that contributed to the growth of school sports across the Kingdom.
During his address, Dr. Juma praised the remarkable progress made in school sports programs, noting that student participation in competitions and athletic activities has continued to expand. He emphasized that sports remain an essential component of the educational process and contribute significantly to student development.
The minister also commended the dedication of the Physical Education Directorate and various educational and support departments that worked throughout the academic year to ensure the successful organization of sporting events and championships. Their efforts helped create opportunities for students to develop their talents and achieve excellence.
Private sector sponsors and strategic partners were recognized for their continued support of educational and sports initiatives. Officials noted that these partnerships have enabled a larger number of students to benefit from sports programs while strengthening the overall quality of school activities.
A special documentary film showcased memorable moments from the school sports season, highlighting student participation, outstanding performances, and key achievements recorded during various competitions. The presentation also introduced several new projects and initiatives planned for the upcoming academic year.
The ceremony concluded with cultural and athletic performances by students before the Education Minister presented awards and certificates of appreciation to sponsors, partners, and committee members. The event reflected Bahrain’s commitment to promoting youth development through education, sports, and community collaboration.
