Bahrain brought the curtain down on its 2025–2026 horseracing season with a prestigious closing ceremony held at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay. The ceremony was attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC). He emphasized that the accomplishments of the season reflect Bahrain’s continued commitment to strengthening its position as a leading destination for regional and international horse racing.

His Highness highlighted that the progress achieved in the sector serves as motivation to continue implementing ambitious development plans. He noted that Bahrain remains focused on enhancing local racing standards while expanding its presence on the international sporting stage through the successful hosting of global competitions.

During the ceremony, several outstanding performers were honored for their achievements throughout the season. The Leading Owner Award was presented to HH Shaikh Nader bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and HH Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa of Al Mohamediya Racing Team. The Leading Trainer Award went to renowned trainer Fawzi Nass, while Yousif Taher received the Leading Arabian Horse Trainer Award.

The recognition ceremony also celebrated the achievements of jockeys who played a key role in the season’s success.
