Bahrain Air Defence Downs 129 Missiles and Drones

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Bahrain’s National Communication Centre (NCC) announced that the Bahrain Defence Force successfully repelled a fresh wave of hostile attacks targeting the Kingdom.

According to the statement, Bahrain’s air and missile defence systems intercepted and destroyed 70 ballistic missiles and 59 Iranian drones with high efficiency. Authorities said the defensive operation was carried out using advanced systems operating at full readiness.

The NCC strongly condemned the targeting of civilian facilities and private property. It described the attacks as a serious violation of Bahrain’s sovereignty and a clear breach of international laws and norms.

The statement added that Bahrain reserves its full legal right to respond and to take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, national stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

Officials confirmed that relevant authorities quickly handled limited debris resulting from the interception of the missiles and drones. The response followed approved emergency protocols to ensure public safety at affected locations.

The NCC also said monitoring operations are ongoing through an integrated defence system working at the highest levels of readiness and vigilance.

In its final remarks, the centre urged the public to follow instructions issued by competent authorities, verify information through official sources, and avoid spreading rumours during the current situation.
