The Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro Association has revealed that the Barcelona International Championship will take place on Sunday at La Marbella Municipal Complex, drawing athletes globally.
This one-day competition will feature male and female participants of various age groups, from kids to masters, catering to both amateurs and pros.
Operations Director, Zaid Egleton, has detailed the official weigh-in schedule:
The competition kicks off at 10:00 am local time in Barcelona.
Winners in professional categories will be awarded 600 points in the international rankings, along with a cash prize, emphasizing the event's importance and drawing top international talent.
This championship is a crucial part of Abu Dhabi's effort to globalize jiu-jitsu and solidify its stature as a premier hub for the sport, fostering talent and engagement through international competitions.
The event showcases the sustained achievements of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation and the Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro Association, backed by UAE leadership, establishing jiu-jitsu as a significant national sport.
