Sunny Deol’s Border 2 continues its impressive run at the Indian box office six days post-release, amassing a remarkable ₹213 crore in total domestic earnings. Released on January 23, the film has shown exceptional resilience even during standard weekdays.
The film debuted with a strong ₹30 crore on opening day, followed by a hefty ₹36.5 crore on Saturday, marking the highest single-day earnings thus far. Sunday saw collections soar by almost 50%, reaching ₹54.7 crore, propelling Border 2 into the elite ₹100 crore club.
Republic Day Monday proved to be a monumental day for the film, generating ₹59 crore. The success continued with ₹20 crore on Tuesday and ₹13 crore on Wednesday, showcasing strong word-of-mouth appeal and loyal audiences, even without ticket discounts.
Border 2 has notably excelled in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, with fans flocking to theaters in significant numbers. This robust support from regions outside major metros has been pivotal to its box office triumph.
The film has outperformed the opening weekend of various major Bollywood releases, reaffirming Sunny Deol’s star appeal and the increasing interest in well-crafted action films in India. With steady revenues, Border 2 is set to reach even greater achievements in the days ahead.
