Cultural Heritage of Turkmenistan Celebrated at Hary Bülbül Festival

At the 9th “Hary Bülbül” International Festival in Shusha, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan proudly displayed its rich cultural history. Artists from around the world gathered to honor traditional music, folklore, and arts.

Representing Turkmenistan was the “Galkynyş” folklore ensemble, part of the Cultural and Business Center of the State Concern “Türkmengaz.” Their lively performances showcased the essence of Turkmen identity and artistic expression.

The festival, running from May 14 to 15, featured a variety of musical and cultural showcases, including traditional dance by participants from different nations. Experts acknowledged the festival as a vital avenue for fostering cultural ties and international collaboration.

The vibrant display of traditional songs, dances, and costumes captivated the audience, effectively presenting Turkmen culture to a global stage. Attendees praised the authenticity and lively presentation of the ensemble’s performances.

With ongoing support from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan aims to enhance its presence in cultural diplomacy, allowing artists and cultural figures more opportunities to represent their heritage globally.

The “Galkynyş” group's participation underscored Turkmenistan's dedication to fostering friendships through art and preserving cultural traditions. Organizers highlighted the festival's role in promoting mutual respect and understanding across nations.

Numerous international representatives attended the historic festival in Shusha, a city celebrated for its cultural significance in Azerbaijan. This event reaffirmed the potential of music and folklore as vehicles for peace and unity.

Turkmen artists expressed their pride in showcasing their cultural legacy to the worldwide audience, emphasizing the importance of sharing their traditions. Observers noted that their successful participation considerably elevated the global profile of Turkmen art and folklore.
