Crown Prince Khaled Bin Mohamed Engages with Chinese Business Leaders

Abu Dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, recently conducted a series of important meetings with leaders of prominent Chinese corporations, aimed at strengthening the UAE-China strategic partnership.

These discussions centered on enhancing economic ties and identifying new avenues for sustainable progress across various sectors, including energy, petrochemicals, biopharmaceuticals, cutting-edge technology, renewable energy, and electronics.

In his meeting with Dai Houliang, Chairman of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), both parties deliberated on improving collaboration within the energy domain. They addressed vital issues such as clean energy solutions and reinforcing supply chains to bolster regional and global energy security.

Separately, during his discussion with Liao Zengtai, Chairman of Wanhua Chemical Group, the focus was on enhancing partnerships in manufacturing. They emphasized the deployment of advanced technologies to boost operational efficiency and foster sustainability in industry.

The Crown Prince’s agenda also included a meeting with Eric Tse, CEO of Sino Biopharmaceutical Limited, where they explored avenues for collaboration in biopharmaceuticals. The conversation highlighted the integration of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies to improve healthcare systems and ensure pharmaceutical security on both regional and global scales.

Furthermore, His Highness conversed with Robin Zeng Yuqun, the Founder and CEO of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), a frontrunner in lithium-ion battery innovation. Their discussions focused on improving energy efficiency, facilitating knowledge sharing in battery production, and supporting sustainable mobility solutions in line with Net Zero objectives.

These engagements underline the UAE’s unwavering dedication to enhancing its strategic cooperation with China, driving innovation, and supporting sustainable economic progress across crucial global sectors.
