Farmers in Dashoguz Enhance Vegetable Yields

Post by : Shakul

In the Dashoguz Region, spring sowing of vital vegetable crops such as onions, carrots, and cabbage has been successfully completed. This effort underscores their commitment to bolstering the agricultural supply chain. Significant cultivation activities have been reported in districts like Boldumsaz, where extensive areas have been earmarked for these crops.

Local agricultural statistics reveal that onions have been planted on 120 hectares, while carrots occupy 70 hectares and cabbage spans 40 hectares in prominent farming zones. Additionally, districts like Akdepe, Shavat, and Garashsyzlyk are displaying robust production figures, with Garashsyzlyk positioning itself to excel in overall vegetable output within the region.

This season, over 2,200 hectares in the velayat have been dedicated solely to onion crops. Farmers are aiming for impressive yields of a minimum of 250 centners per hectare by implementing enhanced farming techniques, precise crop selection, and effective water management. Their seasonal strategies also involve cultivating specific crops in both spring and autumn.

The achievements in this region are credited to a scientific approach to agriculture, the adoption of contemporary machinery, and the expansion of greenhouse facilities. These tactics have facilitated year-round vegetable production, ensuring a reliable supply of fresh, nutritious produce to the marketplace.
