Dashoguz Commemorates International Children’s Day

Post by : Shakul

Dasoguz Velayat honored International Children’s Day with a series of lively cultural, educational, and recreational activities that united children, parents, educators, and local communities. These events underscore Turkmenistan’s enduring dedication to fostering an environment where the younger generation can flourish in safe, contemporary settings.

Key celebrations took place at the “Galkynyş Eýýamy” Recreation Park located in the Shavat district. Built using prize funds won in a national competition, the park attracted hundreds of families for a day filled with fun and festivities. Children enjoyed rides, electric cars, games, music performances, and a diverse array of treats available throughout the venue.

The festivities also reached the heart of Dashoguz city, where a refurbished public park hosted musical performances and community activities. Newly developed pathways, landscaped green spaces, and upgraded facilities provided a welcoming atmosphere for families. This revitalized park is anticipated to become one of the most frequented spots in the city for leisure and outdoor enjoyment.

Officials emphasized that significant investments continue to be made in programs and infrastructure that support children and families. Across Dashoguz, an extensive network of schools, preschools, healthcare centers, and recreational facilities offers children opportunities for quality education, healthcare, and personal growth from a young age.

A prime example of this ongoing commitment is the planning of a new Maternal and Child Health Centre in Dashoguz. This large facility, equipped with advanced medical technology and designed to serve hundreds of patients, aims to enhance maternal and child healthcare services in the region.

Educational facilities are also on the rise, with the construction of a new school for 600 students and a kindergarten for 240 children underway in the Gulistan residential area. These developments are targeted at meeting increasing demands and ensuring families have access to modern educational facilities within their neighborhoods.

Children in Dashoguz also gain from the widely recognized “Bagtyyar Nesil” Children's Health Centre, a modern hub for healthcare, recreation, and education. Featuring sports fields, swimming pools, leisure facilities, lodging buildings, and cultural venues, this center offers a well-rounded environment for healthy development. Along with numerous private entertainment facilities operating in the area, these investments highlight Dashoguz’s commitment to providing children the resources for learning, recreation, and a joyful upbringing.
