Nine Arrested in Delhi-Mumbai Terror Plot by ISI Affiliates

Post by : Shakul

In a significant anti-terror operation, the Delhi Police Special Cell has detained nine suspects believed to be associated with Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the notorious underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim. Officials state that the suspects were allegedly plotting synchronized attacks on crucial sites in both Delhi and Mumbai, presenting a substantial threat to national safety.

Reports indicate that among the arrested are residents from Delhi, Mumbai, and Punjab, with some said to be foreign nationals. Investigators suspect this group is part of a broader network with international ties, allegedly working under the guidance of external operatives.

During this operation, a large cache of weapons and ammunition was seized from the individuals. Initial findings suggest the group aimed to attack vital public infrastructures, security forces, and other strategic locations within India's major urban areas.

Intelligence sources suggest that potential targets included airports, railway stations, power stations, and other sensitive facilities. Authorities are currently scrutinizing intelligence reports to uncover the complete extent of the conspiracy and pinpoint any additional associates within the network.

Officials confirmed that the group had been under close watch for a considerable time prior to the arrests. Security agencies are now working to uncover cross-border connections, financial pathways, communication systems, and the involvement of foreign operatives who might have organized the alleged attacks.

These arrests take place amid increased security measures in Delhi in light of intelligence alerts about impending terror threats. Recent warnings indicated possible attacks using improvised explosive devices and coordinated assaults on crowded public venues and government buildings.

Investigators are continuing to interrogate detainees and are evaluating the digital evidence gathered during the operation. Authorities have reiterated that the investigation is ongoing, with more information to be provided as evidence is confirmed. This operation marks a crucial effort in thwarting a potential major security threat and bolstering counter-terrorism initiatives throughout the nation.
