Sharjah Judicial Council Hosts Partners Forum Ceremony 2026

Post by : Bianca Haleem

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and the Chairman of the Sharjah Judicial Council, was present at the Partners Forum ceremony held by the Judicial Council at the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park.

The event commenced with the recital of the UAE national anthem, followed by a passage from the Holy Quran, establishing an official atmosphere for senior officials and judicial leaders.

Judicial Leaders Outline Development Plans

Judge Dr Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, who chairs the Judicial Department, reiterated that the ongoing enhancement of Sharjah’s judicial landscape aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. He highlighted that the rule of law is a fundamental element in preserving rights and delivering justice.

Moreover, he pointed out that significant modernization has taken place within the judicial framework, enhancing operational efficiency and the quality of judicial services, in line with the emirate’s strategic goals.

Pioneering Digital Justice Innovations

Al Kaabi discussed the shift towards a modern "Digital Justice" model, where enhanced digital litigation frameworks have revolutionized conventional judicial processes. This user-centric approach ensures better accessibility, speed, and transparency.

He noted that this evolution was made possible through robust partnerships with various stakeholders, transforming operational hurdles into innovative digital solutions.

Visionary Roadmap for the Future

The Judicial Department also presented its forthcoming strategic approach, termed "Judicial Foresight," focusing on the implementation of cutting-edge technologies and reinforcing institutional synergy. This roadmap aims to uphold excellence and further improve service facilitation within the judicial framework.

Significant Achievements and Collaborations

A presentation during the forum highlighted notable accomplishments, such as the establishment of 14 internal working teams aimed at boosting operational productivity. It also showcased extensive collaboration with federal and local bodies, fostering knowledge sharing, digital integration, and human resource enhancement.

Additionally, several cooperation agreements were executed to fortify institutional associations.

Inauguration of the Digital Rental Disputes Platform

In a pivotal moment, the Deputy Ruler launched the Digital Rental Disputes Platform, aimed at fully digitalizing conflict resolution processes in the rental sector. This platform facilitates virtual hearings and securely manages the issuance and archiving of judicial decisions within a digital framework.

The platform was developed in collaboration with the "Aqari" initiative under the Sharjah Digital Department, marking a significant milestone in judicial digital innovation.

Positive Rental Market Trends

The forum also presented statistics for 2025 showing over 360,000 active rental contracts, indicating vibrant real estate engagement in the emirate. The Rental Disputes Centre effectively addressed over 15,000 cases, showcasing enhanced efficacy in conflict resolution.

Acknowledging Strategic Collaborators

The ceremony culminated in acknowledging strategic partners and supportive organizations for their contributions to judicial progress. Commemorative shields were awarded to encourage ongoing collaboration in fortifying Sharjah’s governmental framework.

Attendees included senior officials, members of the ruling family, heads of government departments, judicial figures, and representatives from federal and local agencies.
