Dubai Media launches Dubai+ platform with family-friendly content

Dubai Media has launched Dubai+, a new digital platform designed to offer safe, family-friendly content to audiences in Dubai and across the Arab region. The launch was announced under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council (DMC).

The press event was attended by Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of Dubai Media Council, His Excellency Mohamed AlMulla, CEO of Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI), along with media leaders and industry representatives.

Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri said the launch reflects Dubai’s ambition to strengthen its media ecosystem, encourage private sector participation, enhance storytelling capabilities, and develop advanced digital infrastructure. She added that Dubai+ is part of Dubai’s strategy to lead innovation in media and digital broadcasting while building global competitiveness.

His Excellency Mohamed AlMulla emphasized that Dubai+ is designed as a fully integrated digital media platform delivering high-quality, diverse, and innovative content. The platform is built on advanced technology to ensure smooth performance and a user-friendly experience, positioning it as a key digital destination for Arab audiences.

Salem Balyouha, CEO of Media Content at DMI, highlighted that Dubai+ focuses on family safety, offering content with clear classification and viewing controls. The platform features:

  • Over 20 exclusive series

  • Six original productions

  • 170+ international titles

  • Live sports covering 12 championships

Dubai+ aims to strengthen Emirati and Arab content, support local talent, and expand partnerships to reach global audiences. The platform represents a major step in Dubai Media’s digital transformation and reinforces Dubai’s role as a regional and global hub for content creation.
