Abu Dhabi – UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in discussions with Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari in Abu Dhabi aimed at reinforcing economic collaboration, trade, and investment.
The dialogue occurred at Qasr Al Bahr, where Sheikh Mohamed greeted President Zardari, commending his contributions to fostering relations between the two countries, which have been on the rise.
The leaders evaluated the advancements regarding the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) negotiations, expressing optimism that this agreement will significantly enhance trade and economic ties between the UAE and Pakistan.
They also discussed broader regional and global issues, emphasizing the necessity of dialogue and diplomacy to promote peace and stability worldwide.
Sheikh Mohamed noted Pakistan’s significant role on the United Nations Security Council, suggesting new avenues for cooperative efforts on international security challenges.
President Zardari reiterated the enduring partnership between the UAE and Pakistan, emphasizing Pakistan's eagerness to further its economic ties for mutual benefit.
