Egypt Condemns Iranian Attacks on Bahrain Kuwait and Jordan

Post by : Shweta

Cairo, June 10 — Egypt has strongly condemned attacks attributed to Iran against Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, describing them as a serious violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the three countries and warning that the developments threaten stability across the Middle East.

In a statement released Wednesday, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates expressed full solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan. The ministry said the attacks represented a dangerous escalation and reaffirmed Egypt's support for efforts aimed at protecting the security and interests of the affected countries.

The statement was carried by Egypt's state-run Middle East News Agency (MENA).

According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Cairo supports all measures taken by Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan to maintain stability and safeguard their citizens and national resources.

Egypt emphasized that the security of fellow Arab countries is closely linked to both Egyptian and broader Arab national security. The ministry also reiterated its rejection of actions that undermine the sovereignty of states or threaten their territorial integrity.

The statement reflected Egypt's long-standing position that preserving stability in the region requires respect for internationally recognized borders and adherence to international law.

Egypt urged all parties to avoid further escalation and stressed the importance of resolving tensions through diplomatic means.

The ministry highlighted the need to uphold international law and pursue measures that would help prevent a wider regional crisis. Egyptian officials warned that increasing tensions could have broader consequences for peace and security across the Middle East.

Cairo's appeal for restraint comes at a time of heightened concerns over regional stability, with several countries closely monitoring developments and their potential impact on the Gulf region and neighboring states.

The latest statement underscores Egypt's efforts to maintain a unified Arab position in response to security threats affecting countries in the region.

Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan are important partners for Egypt, and cooperation among Arab states has remained a key element of Cairo's foreign policy. Regional governments have repeatedly stressed the importance of collective action in addressing security challenges and preventing conflicts from spreading.

Analysts say diplomatic engagement and coordination among Arab nations could become increasingly important if tensions continue to rise. International attention is also expected to focus on efforts aimed at reducing risks and encouraging dialogue among regional actors.

Egypt's latest response highlights growing concern over the possibility of broader instability in the Middle East. By voicing support for Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, Cairo signaled its commitment to protecting regional security and preserving cooperation among Arab states.

The ministry's emphasis on de-escalation and respect for international law reflects calls made by several countries and organizations seeking to prevent further deterioration in the security situation and maintain stability across the region.
