Emirates Unveils New A380 Livery Celebrating Grand Slam Events

Post by : Bianca Haleem

In an exciting announcement, Emirates, the largest international airline in the world and a dedicated supporter of tennis, has launched a stunning new livery for its Airbus A380. This design celebrates the airline’s partnership with all four prestigious Grand Slam tournaments.

Emirates proudly backs the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, The Championships Wimbledon, and the US Open, positioning itself as one of the few brands globally linked with every Grand Slam.

The vibrant livery showcases tennis-themed artwork, incorporating the logos of each Grand Slam within a tennis ball motif. The colors symbolize the distinct identities of the tournaments—summery blue for the Australian Open, red clay for Roland-Garros, the classic green and purple for Wimbledon, and a bright yellow and blue for the US Open.

This special Grand Slam A380 will service international routes, including cities like Houston and São Paulo, allowing passengers and aviation fans around the globe to enjoy its unique visual appeal. The livery embodies the key values of tennis: sportsmanship, resilience, and discipline.

The aircraft will be part of Emirates’ fleet for the foreseeable future, with its inaugural flight displaying the new livery arriving in Melbourne, Australia, coinciding with the kickoff of the 2026 Australian Open, the year’s first Grand Slam.

Emirates’ Ongoing Sports Partnerships

Emirates is committed to enhancing its ties with sports enthusiasts through a robust sponsorship strategy. In tennis, the airline is involved in major ATP and WTA events, including the renowned Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, in addition to all four Grand Slam tournaments.

Furthermore, Emirates engages in sponsorship across a wide range of sports, including global events and teams like horse racing, golf, cricket, and football. The airline's “Fly Better” branding is prominently displayed on the jerseys of top football clubs such as Arsenal FC, Real Madrid CF, AC Milan, Benfica, and Olympique Lyonnais, as well as being the title sponsor of The FA Cup and various sports initiatives in the UAE.
