TRENDS Research & Advisory, in partnership with the TRENDS Youth Council, orchestrated a panel titled “Shaping Tomorrow: Youth Voices and Global Impact” at the Warsaw International Book Fair 2026.

Hosted at the TRENDS pavilion, this session united youthful leaders and scholars from both Poland and the UAE to share perspectives on universal challenges, intercultural dialogue, and the pivotal role of youth in molding the future.

Discussions delved into critical themes such as artificial intelligence (AI), social media influences, digital polarisation, and the repercussions of fast-evolving global conditions on younger demographics.

Panelists underscored AI and digital evolution as crucial factors in future development, urging that young individuals actively engage with technological advances to equip themselves with necessary adaptive skills.

Special attention was also drawn to the powerful sway of social media on societal discussions. The audience acknowledged digital polarisation as a significant global issue affecting communication, information access, and opinion formation, highlighting a collective call for enhanced critical thinking and responsible digital engagement.

Intercultural dialogue emerged as a vital topic, with speakers asserting its necessity in today’s global landscape. They argued that such exchanges can dismantle stereotypes, deepen mutual understanding, and forge stronger relationships among global youth.

The dialogue also stressed viewing young people not merely as future leaders but as active participants capable of influencing current policy-making and devising impactful solutions to ongoing challenges.

Concluding the panel, participants advocated for greater collaboration between research institutions and youth organizations. TRENDS reiterated its dedication to fostering dialogue, knowledge exchange, and international research partnerships aimed at empowering young minds to address global issues proactively.
