Etihad Airways reported a strong start to 2026, welcoming 2.2 million passengers in January, marking a 29% increase compared to 1.7 million in January 2025.
The airline achieved a passenger load factor of 89.9%, up from 89.1% last year, reflecting strong demand across its network and efficient capacity management.
Etihad’s operating fleet now stands at 127 aircraft, serving 110 destinations worldwide, including seasonal and cargo routes, as well as destinations set to launch within the next year.
CEO Antonoaldo Neves said, “January has been a strong start to 2026. Demand is high, our product is resonating with customers, and the dedication of our teams is evident in every flight.”
He added that new services to Luxembourg and Calgary were announced in January, giving these cities a direct connection to Abu Dhabi for the first time.
This growth highlights Etihad’s ongoing expansion and its commitment to connecting Abu Dhabi to more destinations globally.
