Dubai: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has announced that five Indian match officials will be part of the FIFA International List for 2026. This noteworthy achievement underscores India's expanding role in global football officiating.

Rachana Kamani from Gujarat has been recognized in the women's referees category, spotlighting the growing number of female officials within Indian football. For the men's referees, Ashwin Kumar and Aditya Purkayastha, representing Puducherry and Delhi respectively, have reached a significant milestone in their careers.

Furthermore, assistant referees Muralitharan Pandurangan and Peter Christopher have also been selected, showcasing India's capabilities across various officiating positions. Both Ashwin and Aditya have successfully completed the AFC Referee Academy course, which is an elite training program in Kuala Lumpur, and Rachana is currently attending this training as well.

With these recent appointments, the total number of Indian officials on FIFA's 2026 International List now stands at 19, reflecting the nation's dedication to developing high-caliber refereeing talent.
