GCC Passport Chiefs Meet in Riyadh to Boost Regional Cooperation

Saudi Arabia’s Acting Director General of Passports, Maj. Gen. Saleh bin Saad Al-Murabba, took part in the 41st meeting of the Directors General of Passports of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held in Riyadh with the participation of official delegations from all GCC member states.

The meeting brought together passport authorities from across the Gulf to discuss a range of issues related to passport affairs and cooperation among the member countries.

Focus on Improving Passport Services

During the discussions, participants reviewed several topics connected to passport operations across the GCC. The meeting also examined ways to improve passport procedures and develop related services to better meet the needs of citizens and residents.

Officials exchanged views on strengthening coordination between passport departments and enhancing cooperation to support more efficient service delivery throughout the region.

Supporting Greater GCC Integration

The meeting also focused on advancing coordination and integration among GCC member states through closer cooperation in passport-related matters. Participants discussed efforts aimed at improving joint work and supporting the broader objectives of Gulf cooperation in the field of passport services.
