GHB Unveils Large-Scale Home Auction in Thailand

GHB Unveils Large-Scale Home Auction in Thailand

Post by : Shakul

Thailand’s Government Housing Bank (GHB) has launched an ambitious home auction initiative, offering over 12,000 pre-owned properties nationwide. This mid-year auction aims to empower Thai citizens to purchase quality homes at more affordable rates while invigorating the local real estate market.

Set for June 6, 2026, the auction will showcase an extensive array of properties, including detached houses, condominiums, townhouses, and even commercial real estate. GHB representatives emphasize that buyers could benefit from price reductions of up to 50 percent, marking this event as a significant affordable housing campaign this year.

A notable highlight is the bank's attractive financing scheme. Successful bidders who finalize their agreements between June 8 and June 19, 2026, can access a special home loan with a fixed interest rate of 0 percent for the first two years, alleviating financial burdens especially for first-time purchasers and families with moderate incomes.

Bangkok and surrounding areas will host more than 1,000 properties, prominently featuring a condominium in the Life Ratchadaphisek project in the Huai Khwang district, starting at 3.06 million baht. This property promises an urban lifestyle with easy access to transport and amenities.

Beyond Bangkok, over 11,000 additional homes will be available in various regions. Noteworthy offerings include a semi-detached house in Chonburi priced at 2.34 million baht and a detached house in Nakhon Sawan starting at 2.285 million baht. Both properties are situated in communities with vital facilities.

GHB has also indicated that successful bidders must submit a security deposit before completing their transactions. A deposit of 10,000 baht will be required for typical homes, while properties above 10 million baht will necessitate a 100,000 baht deposit. Additionally, the first 60 highest bidders who fulfill agreements within the specified time will be rewarded with complimentary appliances.

The auction will operate from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with registration commencing at 8:00 AM. Auctions for properties in Bangkok will take place at the GHB Head Office, while those in regional areas will be conducted through various provincial branches. Interested buyers can find more information via the GHB Call Center, the GHB ALL HOME application, the official Facebook page, and the bank’s online platforms.
