Post by : Bianca Haleem

The Higher Organizing Committee, under the guidance of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has announced the details of the 33rd UAE President's Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses, signifying a major advancement in the sport's global presence.

With prize money surpassing AED20 million, the 2026 edition heightens the Cup's status as the premier Arabian horse racing series in the world. Building on last year’s success, which boasted 354 horses and over 400,000 attendees at major international race tracks, this year anticipates an even more robust digital engagement, having previously achieved over 500 million views worldwide.

Global Circuit Across 19 Major Racing Venues

This season’s schedule unveils a broad international circuit designed to support breeders and owners while showcasing Purebred Arabian horses globally. Kicking off in Tunisia on April 19, it includes significant stops in the United States at Churchill Downs and France, promising a dynamic racing experience.

The tour will traverse Europe, featuring events in Sweden, Italy, Morocco, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK at Newbury and Doncaster, with additional locations in Spain, Belgium, Türkiye, Russia, and Poland, highlighting the Cup’s extensive global reach.

Expansion in the Arab Region and Spectacular Finale

A noteworthy aspect this year is the expansion into Arab nations, with new stops in Syria, Libya, and Egypt, culminating in a grand final in Saudi Arabia on November 20.

Visionary Leadership Fueling Global Influence

His Excellency Matar Suhail Al Yabhouni Al Dhaheri, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee, emphasized that Sheikh Mansour's enduring support has positioned the Cup as a global nexus for the UAE and international racing enthusiasts.

His Excellency Faisal Al Rahmani, Secretary-General of the series, described the 33rd edition as a “landmark moment,” highlighting collaborations with renowned venues like Longchamp, Churchill Downs, and Doncaster. He underscored that the Cup has become a strategic ally to some of the world’s leading racing events.

A New Chapter in Arabian Horse Racing

With its enhanced schedule, unprecedented prize pool, and international participation, the UAE President's Cup 2026 is poised to elevate the stature of Purebred Arabian horse racing, solidifying its cultural and competitive importance across multiple continents.
