GTA Facilitates Workshops for Audit Firms on Tax Compliance Enhancement

Post by : Bianca Haleem

The General Tax Authority (GTA) has initiated a series of focused workshops aimed at audit firms, reinforcing its efforts to collaborate with stakeholders and enhance tax-related knowledge.

An official announcement from the GTA on Tuesday revealed that these sessions took place at its headquarters, featuring participation from over 50 auditors and representatives from various audit firms.

This program's primary goal is to strengthen both technical and practical skills while promoting adherence to best practices and standards within the tax domain.

Participants engaged in interactive sessions that provided insights into the latest legislative and procedural changes in taxation. The workshops integrated theoretical knowledge with practical training to facilitate professional growth.

Furthermore, the initiative sought to deepen the understanding of tax regulations, harmonize professional interpretations, and ensure consistent application of tax rules, ultimately aiming for enhanced compliance.

The GTA emphasized that these workshops showcase its dedication to ongoing collaboration with audit firms, a partnership intended to bolster tax compliance and elevate the quality of professional practices in the sector.

These workshops are part of a comprehensive plan developed by the Authority to standardize technical concepts and procedures, strengthen adherence to approved regulations, foster knowledge sharing, and stay abreast of emerging trends in the tax landscape.
