Abu Dhabi Healthcare Leaders Evaluate Patient Services Amid Ongoing Crisis

Post by : Bianca Haleem

In collaboration with the Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre – Abu Dhabi, top healthcare officials from the emirate conducted an on-site evaluation to monitor patient care and response preparedness amidst current regional scenarios.

His Excellency Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), visited individuals under treatment at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City. This visit aimed to assess their health statuses, revise treatment plans, and confirm adherence to high standards of medical assistance.

Accompanying him were prominent healthcare figures, including Her Excellency Dr Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Dr Marwan Alkaab, the CEO of Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, along with His Excellency Dr Rashid Obaid Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, and His Excellency Dr Abdulla Rashid Hamarain Al Dhaheri from the Response and Recovery Sector.

Throughout the visit, officials engaged with patients and their families, receiving detailed updates from the medical teams regarding case advancements and treatment routes. These interactions highlighted the significance of a holistic approach to healthcare that considers both medical and emotional aspects.

Al Mansoori affirmed that Abu Dhabi's healthcare framework operates with enhanced efficiency, powered by cutting-edge, intelligence-based systems. This infrastructure facilitates real-time coordination, predicts patient needs, and guarantees comprehensive healthcare delivery without interruption.

He also highlighted the critical function of the Unified Medical Operations Command Centre in bolstering system-wide oversight, enabling anticipatory planning, and ensuring swift responses throughout the healthcare network.

“The health, safety, and comfort of our community are our foremost concerns,” Al Mansoori noted. “Engaging with patients and their families strengthens our dedication to providing assurance and compassion to every individual.”

Additionally, he remarked that Abu Dhabi's healthcare system is designed for resilience, functioning seamlessly across different entities to ensure persistent service delivery while maintaining premier care standards for the public.
