Kuwait Customs Seizes 1.25kg Narcotics in Pakistan Air Cargo

Kuwait Customs, working with the General Department for Narcotics Control, has foiled an attempt to smuggle approximately 1.25 kilograms of narcotics into Kuwait through an air cargo shipment arriving from Pakistan.

The Customs Investigation and Search Department said customs officers became suspicious of the shipment and carried out a detailed inspection.

Heroin and Suspected Crystal Meth Found Inside Paintings

The inspection revealed that three paintings were being used to conceal approximately one kilogram of heroin.

A fourth painting contained a crystalline substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine, also known as shabu. The substance weighed about 250 grams.

Together, the seized substances amounted to approximately 1.25 kilograms of narcotics.

Asian National Arrested

An Asian national was arrested during the operation in coordination with the General Department for Narcotics Control.

The suspect and the seized narcotics were handed over to the relevant authorities for legal action.

Kuwait Customs Steps Up Drug Smuggling Controls

Kuwait Customs reaffirmed its continued efforts to strengthen inspections at the country's customs ports and prevent attempts to smuggle narcotics and other prohibited substances.
