Malaysia Prepares for Thomas and Uber Cup 2026 Challenge

Leading the charge for Malaysia at the 2026 Thomas and Uber Cup Finals in Horsens, Denmark from April 24 to May 3 are Aaron Chia and M. Thinaah. The Badminton Association of Malaysia has officially confirmed their roles.

Both athletes come with extensive experience, having competed in numerous tournaments. Their leadership is expected to be pivotal in enhancing Malaysia's standing on the international badminton stage.

In the men’s Thomas Cup team, Lee Zii Jia will be a key singles player along with Leong Jun Hao, Justin Hoh, and Aidil Sholeh. The doubles team features formidable combinations like Aaron Chia paired with Soh Wooi Yik and Man Wei Chong with Tee Kai Wun.

Set to compete in Group B, Malaysia’s men’s team is poised for intense matches against formidable opponents including Japan, England, and Finland as they vie for advancing to the knockout rounds.

For the Uber Cup, M. Thinaah will spearhead the doubles with teammates such as Chong Jie Yu, Ong Xin Yee, and Carmen Ting. The singles lineup showcases talents like K Letshanaa, Wong Ling Ching, Siti Zulaikha Azmi, and Goh Jin Wei.

Malaysia aims for a strong outing in both cups, blending seasoned players with rising stars, offering a significant platform to demonstrate their competitive edge against elite badminton countries.

As preparations intensify and confidence grows, Malaysia seeks to leave a lasting mark at the Thomas and Uber Cup Finals, aspiring for recognition among the world's elite badminton teams.
