Masdar City Free Zone has solidified its role as a pivotal business hub in the UAE, clinching three significant awards that showcase its swift development, robust support for entrepreneurs, and commitment to technological innovation.

The accolades follow an outstanding growth year, with a remarkable 36 percent increase in the number of active companies within its domain. This translates to an impressive 172 percent annual surge, as nearly 1,000 new businesses chose to set up in 2025 alone.

With over 2,000 registered enterprises, Masdar City Free Zone has emerged as a top choice for start-ups, which now represent more than half of its business base. Job creation also saw a significant increase of 33 percent, marking a 71 percent year-on-year growth.

The free zone has received acclaim for its initiatives supporting small and medium enterprises. With flexible licensing, affordable business packages, and streamlined regulations, SMEs can easily establish and expand their operations. Notable facilities include a sophisticated flexi research and development lab, promoting innovation and product testing across various sectors.

Masdar City Free Zone continues to draw in firms within impactful industries like artificial intelligence, clean energy, agritech, life sciences, smart mobility, and space tech. Its innovation-centric ecosystem thrives on collaboration among start-ups, multinational corporations, research bodies, and investors.

Boasting a 99 percent occupancy rate and companies from over 90 nations, Masdar City Free Zone is instrumental in supporting Abu Dhabi's economic diversification goals, offering a forward-thinking platform where ideas, technology, and sustainable progress converge.
