Despite the troubling signs, Argentina’s head coach, Lionel Scaloni, worked to alleviate worries regarding his star player. Scaloni remarked that initial reports were “not that bad” and stated the team would deliberate further based on the results of upcoming tests before deciding on Messi’s recovery timeline.
