Thailand's Welfare Registration Surpasses 8.86 Million Participants

Post by : Shakul

The Ministry of Finance in Thailand has unveiled impressive participation figures for the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project, reporting that over 8.86 million current State Welfare Card holders completed their registration within the first two days. This initiative is designed to ensure that eligible individuals continue to receive vital government support and welfare services.

As per Deputy Permanent Secretary Atthapol Atthaworadej, the total number of registrations reached 8,865,427 by midnight on June 5, 2026. The majority of these applications were processed online, reflecting the increasing usage of digital government services in Thailand.

Among those who registered, over 8.45 million have confirmed their eligibility. However, approximately 410,699 individuals have incomplete verification records and are being advised to finalize their applications before the upcoming deadline.

Data from the government indicates that applications were submitted through various channels including official welfare websites, mobile government apps, the Paotang app, participating banks, and Krung Thai Bank ATMs. Citizens have been urged to frequently check their registration status through these platforms.

Officials have stated that applicants receiving messages regarding incorrect identification card details should restart their process via any accepted registration method. Those whose status is still under review are encouraged to check back the following day for updates.

The Ministry of Finance has highlighted the need for applicants to meticulously review all information before confirming their registration. It is essential for applicants to keep monitoring their registration status until they receive a successful confirmation message to prevent any issues during eligibility verification.

Final eligibility results for the 2026 State Welfare Registration Project are set to be revealed on July 17, 2026. Officials believe that this program will significantly aid low-income families and enhance Thailand’s social welfare framework.
