On June 7, the Dubai World Trade Centre will witness a vibrant community gathering as part of the "Emirates Loves Philippines" initiative, commemorating the 128th anniversary of the Philippines' Independence.
Expected to draw approximately 40,000 members of the Filipino community along with guests from other nationalities, the event offers a deep dive into Filipino culture and heritage.
Dignitaries including Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, and Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver, Philippine Ambassador to the UAE, will grace the occasion alongside other notable representatives.
This festival is designed to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the UAE and the Philippines while celebrating the vital contributions of the Filipino community to the UAE's development.
Highlighted by a star-studded entertainment lineup, including popular Filipino actress and singer Arci Muñoz, the festival will also feature performances from leading P-pop groups such as 1st.One, G22, and ALAMAT.
Cultural showcases will include the traditional Sagala pageant, presenting significant Filipino customs and a lively carnival procession reflecting the nation's rich cultural attire.
A dedicated food village will present beloved Filipino cuisines, while entertainment zones will offer family-friendly activities, go-kart racing, and live shows throughout the day.
This event embodies the UAE's commitment to cultural diversity and coexistence, emphasizing the continuous strengthening of ties between the two nations across various sectors.
Ultimately, the celebration acknowledges the Filipino community's essential role in the UAE and reinforces the close diplomatic relationships shared between the countries.
