Pilgrims Execute Stoning Ritual at Jamrat Al Aqaba During Eid

Post by : Bianca Haleem

On Eid Al Adha, with the dawn light breaking, pilgrims arriving from Muzdalifah commenced the stoning ritual at Mina's Jamrat Al Aqaba, a crucial part of the Hajj pilgrimage.

Conducted in a highly organized manner, this ritual took place under stringent security measures, health protocols, and efficient operational setups aimed at facilitating a smooth experience for all attendees.

With robust crowd management strategies in place, the Jamarat facility ensured steady pedestrian movement through targeted monitoring and operational plans tailored to safeguard the flow among the sacred sites.

To bolster safety and hygiene, authorities enhanced local services by deploying medical teams, ambulances, and staff for oversight and sanitation, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

Shuttle buses along with the Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro operated on schedule, effectively minimizing congestion and travel time between holy sites.

The stoning of Jamrat Al Aqaba follows a night spent in Muzdalifah and is a precursor to other vital traditions of the Day of Sacrifice, such as the sacrifice of animals, hair grooming, and the Tawaf Al Ifadah.
