Qatar Airways Increases Flights to Dubai with Five Daily Services

Qatar Airways Increases Flights to Dubai with Five Daily Services

Post by : Bianca Haleem

In a significant development, Qatar Airways has unveiled plans to boost its flight offerings between Doha and Dubai, introducing five daily flights this upcoming summer travel season.

Beginning June 5, the flag carrier from Qatar will roll out this increase in phases, responding to the rising travel demand between these two key Gulf destinations. This decision follows a lengthy period of service disruptions due to regional airspace limitations, as airlines gradually ramp up operations in anticipation of the busy summer months.

As part of the rollout, a third daily flight will commence on June 5, with a fourth set to launch on June 15, followed by the addition of a fifth daily service later in the summer. Ultimately, Qatar Airways will operate up to 35 flights weekly between Hamad International Airport in Doha and Dubai International Airport.

These new services will utilize Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft, aimed at offering passengers increased flexibility and enhanced travel choices between the two vibrant cities.

The airline has been successfully rebuilding its regional footprint recently, having resumed flights to Dubai and Sharjah in April, with Abu Dhabi services restarting in May. Furthermore, Qatar Airways plans to extend its international reach to over 160 destinations during the summer.

The adjusted summer schedule will be in effect until September 15, incorporating additional flights and modifications across its network to cater to the heightened seasonal demand.

Despite this expansion, Qatar Airways acknowledges that some operational hurdles persist due to ongoing airspace challenges in the Middle East. Flights continue to operate in a limited safe corridor sanctioned by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, with schedules subject to regulatory adjustments and changing airspace conditions.

Passengers are reminded that flight schedules may be altered or canceled based on operational, regulatory, or safety issues. Travelers impacted by any changes will have the opportunity to rebook or receive refunds in accordance with the airline's policies.

This latest expansion underscores Qatar Airways' commitment to enhancing regional connectivity while accommodating the surge in passenger demand during the peak summer travel season.
