Qatar Condemns Iran's Attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain

Post by : Bianca Haleem

DOHA: Qatar has strongly condemned the renewed attacks launched by Iran against Kuwait and Bahrain, calling them a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of both Gulf nations.

Qatar Condemns Violation of Sovereignty

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar described the attacks as a serious breach of international law, the United Nations Charter, and the principles of good neighbourliness. The ministry said the attacks undermine regional stability and violate internationally recognized norms governing relations between states.

Warning Over Rising Regional Tensions

Qatar warned that the continuation of military attacks represents a dangerous escalation that could further destabilize the Gulf region. The ministry said the latest developments risk complicating international efforts to reduce tensions and could undermine ongoing political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at restoring peace.

Call for Immediate Ceasefire and Dialogue

The ministry urged an immediate and complete cessation of all military operations that threaten regional security. Qatar also called on all parties to avoid actions that could widen the conflict and instead return to dialogue, negotiations, and diplomatic engagement to resolve disputes peacefully.
