Qatar PM, US Vice President Discuss Regional Peace Efforts

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met J. D. Vance in Washington on Friday to discuss strategic cooperation between Qatar and the United States, along with the latest developments in the region.

During the meeting, both leaders reviewed the strong partnership between the two countries and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation across different sectors.

The talks also focused on ongoing regional tensions and mediation efforts aimed at reducing escalation and improving stability in the region. The two sides discussed Pakistani mediation initiatives and the importance of diplomatic efforts to maintain peace and security.

Sheikh Mohammed stressed the need for all parties involved to support and engage in the ongoing mediation process. He said dialogue and peaceful negotiations are important to address the root causes of the crisis and achieve a long-term agreement that ensures lasting peace in the region.

The meeting highlighted the continued cooperation between Qatar and the United States on key regional and international issues, especially efforts related to diplomacy, security and stability.
