In a significant achievement for Qatar, Abdulaziz Fadhalah Al Sulaiti, who serves as the Second Secretary at Qatar's Permanent Mission to the UN in New York, has been appointed as the Rapporteur of the Sixth Committee of the UN General Assembly for its upcoming 81st session.

This committee, which oversees legal matters at the UN, plays a vital role in the development and codification of international law. The 81st session is set to kick off in October 2026.
