Qatar held further discussions on its National Human Rights Action Plan (2026-2030) on Thursday, advancing efforts to create a robust framework for human rights protection within the nation.
The meeting was facilitated by the committee tasked with drafting the national strategy, led by HE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad.
HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, hosted the session, which included committee members and various experts who contributed to the dialogue.
During their discussions, participants addressed responsibilities associated with the Ministry of Justice and shared proposals aimed at strengthening the National Human Rights Action Plan. Emphasis was placed on ensuring alignment with Qatar's national policies and current laws.
These consultative discussions reflect the committee's commitment to a collaborative approach, seeking input, sharing perspectives, and involving diverse stakeholders in crafting an effective national strategy.
Concluding the session, attendees underscored the significance of the National Human Rights Action Plan as a pivotal framework for fostering and safeguarding human rights throughout the country.
