In a meeting held at the Ruler’s Office on Tuesday, the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), led by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, convened to discuss critical government strategies.
His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler and SEC Vice Chairman, attended the session.
The Council focused on reviewing key development plans aimed at enhancing public services and maintaining efficiency through a comprehensive governmental approach.
Reviewing Cybersecurity Achievements
The session spotlighted achievements from the Sharjah Cyber Security Centre (SCSC), which is dedicated to establishing a cohesive cybersecurity landscape across the emirate. Highlights include boosting cybersecurity awareness, fostering human skill development, and upgrading the information security framework.
SCSC has rolled out numerous initiatives, including frameworks for incident management, safeguarding operational technology, and risk management approaches. It has conducted over 20 workshops and trained more than 175 officials in cybersecurity.
Approval of 2026–2031 Cybersecurity Strategy
The SEC sanctioned the Sharjah Cybersecurity Strategy (2026–2031), targeting a secure and resilient digital space within the emirate. This strategy emphasizes the necessity of embedding security in governmental processes.
Council members commended the Sharjah Cyber Security Centre's efforts and stressed the significance of collaboration among government bodies to fulfill the strategy's aims while adhering to global standards.
Judicial Sciences Institute Decisions
The Council also finalized two resolutions regarding the fee structures and reward systems for the Sharjah Judicial Sciences Institute, supporting its mission of providing top-tier training and cultivating skilled professionals in the legal domain.
